November 6th Association Meeting (minutes)
There will be one finals series involving the top 4 teams.
It was noted that there is a new rule which states that if 50% of matches
(say, 2 out of 4), say in the Mixed Doubles comp are completed in a rainy
day like last sat, then the results of those matches count
(Old rule stated more than 50%)
Mike McKeen has requested that christian names to appear at least once on
the sheet, no arrows between two players re positions, sheets written neatly,
the team colour on top and bottom of the sheet and which comp the sheet is i
(ie singles, mixed doubles or combined)
Allan Golding (Pres) mentioned that there is to be a meeting before XMas re
possibilities of combining with Onkaparinga Ass. He would like to form a
sub-committee if anyone is interested. They are proposing to draft a survey i
by January to see what players in our Ass would like to happen.
They also require Individual Clubs to discuss the pros and cons of a possible merger.
A majority of club captains also suggested that the Super Tie Breaker
(currently used in winter comps run by Tennis SA) be extended to the singles
comp from next season.
